Nachman
Precision Systems, Inc. (NPS), is a sixteen-year-old business management systems
consulting company using ISO9000, QS9000, ISO/TS16949, AS9100, TL9000, ISO17025
(ISO/IEC Guide 25), and Malcolm Baldrige as models to build value-added business
management systems. NPS consulting
clients have been granted registration from BSi, QSR, Lloyds, A2LA and others.
Additionally,
as a subcontractor, Marc has been a lead auditor since 1990 for an American
registrar performing third-party evaluations for ISO9000 certification and
QS9000. The registrar considers
Marc a Senior Lead Auditor and he contributes to the registrar’s operation and
ISO Guide 62 oversight programs.
Marc
has more than 30 years experience in all phases of Quality and Metrology.
He has developed and implemented quality systems to MIL-I-45208,
MIL-Q-9858, 10CFR50 Appendix B, the ISO9000 Quality Series Standards, the QS9000
auto industry quality standards, ISO/IEC Guide 25 for Laboratory Accreditation,
TL9000 for the telecommunications industry, and AS9100 for the aerospace
industry. Marc was one of the first
to developed an RAB approved Year 2000 transition training course for RAB QMS
auditors and has performed public and private training classes.
Marc
is recognized and accredited by IATCA through the Registrar Accreditation Board
(RAB/QSA) as a Senior Auditor # QI03440, ASQ as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) #
2824, and was an AIAG QS9000 Lead Auditor #QSR94-043/QS-94-13.
He has been qualified by General Electric Aircraft Engine to evaluate
conformance against “AS9000" for the aerospace industry and the RAB and
QSR for AS9100, for TL9000 by QuEST through the RAB and Excel Partners and by EI
DuPont to evaluate conformance to the requirements of “Responsible Care” for
environmental requirements in the chemical industry.
Marc is considered a “competent person/verifying auditor” by RAB in
the evaluation of the performance of other quality system auditors.
He also is a qualified ISO17025 auditor and performs audits for American
Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). And serves on the Criteria and Certification councils of
A2LA. Marc has been trained in LEAN Manufacturing techniques by the
University of North Carolina in 2004.
In
addition to being a senior member of ASQ and a member since 1982 (00071053),
Marc is Past Vice Chairperson of Technical Activities for the Electronics and
Communications Division of American Society for Quality.
He continues to Chair the Standards Committee for the Electronics and
Communications Division of American Society for Quality.
Marc is a voting member and a writer/reviewer to ISO/TAG 176 and ANSI Z1
committee. Marc has been involved
with the ISO9001:2000 revision, ISO/TS16949:2002 revision, and ISO17025. In the past, he has been involved as a writer/reviewer of
Q9001, Q9002 and Q9003:1994, ISO10012 International Calibration System Standard,
IEC25:1990 International Requirements for Calibration Laboratories, and
ISO14000.
Marc was National Service Manager, with $30M P&L responsibility, of the Instrument Service Division for an electronic instrumentation company. The Instrument Service Division was comprised of 24 ISO/IEC Guide 25 compliant Calibration Standards Laboratories. Additionally, he was Corporate Quality Assurance Manager for the Service, Distribution, and Manufacturing Divisions. He successfully led the company to ISO9002 Certification in three locations in 1991 and developed a scheme for certification of more than 20 additional company locations. In 1991, Marc made presentations on the ISO9000 certification scheme at several ASQ section "National Quality Month" events and seminars at trade shows such as the AM 92 in Greenville, SC. Marc continues to be a resource for training and lecturing for ASQ sections and was the opening speaker at the “Quality=The Bottom Line” Conference and Expo in Richmond, VA in October 1999. He was appointed a "Colonel - Aide de Campe" by the Governor of Tennessee in 2004 in recognition for his service to the State.
NPS also has provided measurement and diagnostic engineering services on projects funded by National Science Foundation grants and holds patents on a quayside containerized cargo loading/unloading automation systems. Additionally, NPS works with companies to integrate vision systems for automation of the inspection process.
